What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapy based on the links between what we think, what we feel and how we behave. Unhelpful thinking styles can trap us in a cycle of negative feelings and behaviours. By helping clients learn to identify and challenge unhelpful thinking styles, a counsellor can bring about lasting and effective changes in mood and behaviour.

There is wide-ranging research evidence showing the effectiveness of CBT for many different people and problems and it is widely recommended across the world.
